Four Seasons Charcoal Baked
In the foothills of Dong Ding Mountain at an elevation of 2600 feet, this tea is grown on a tea farm shrouded in intense fog most of the year which causes the tea to grow slowly. Charcoal baking is the traditional way in which oolongs are baked in Taiwan, but is seldom practiced today. Charcoal from the Long Yen (logan) tree, which produces a fruit similar to apricots, was used to process this tea. This tea was roasted for 4.5 hours, with frequent stirrings, starting with 15 minute intervals , until the Tea Master was satisfied with it being at its best. Price per .25lb.
